Reading these stories together
- Read it once for fun, then again and let your child fill in the sound words — plip, plop, GRRR, huff and puff.
- Stop before the end and ask, “What do you think happens next?”
- Try the same story in a second language: children who already know the story can follow it in a language they are still learning.
- Ask the three questions under each story. There are no wrong answers to the last one — it is about your child's own day.
