🐰 The Clever Rabbit

A proud lion bullied all the animals in the forest. 'Send me one animal to eat each day,' he roared, 'or I will eat you all!' One day it was the little rabbit's turn. The clever rabbit walked very, very slowly and arrived late. 'Why are you late?' growled the hungry lion. 'I am sorry,' said the rabbit. 'Another big lion stopped me, and he says HE is the king!' 'Another lion? Show me!' The rabbit led him to a deep well and pointed inside. The lion looked down and saw another lion staring back — his own reflection! 'How dare you!' he roared, and jumped in to fight. SPLASH! And that was the end of the bully. A little cleverness beats big strength.

एक घमंडी शेर जंगल के सब जानवरों को सताता था। 'रोज़ एक जानवर खाने को भेजो,' वह दहाड़ा, 'वरना सबको खा जाऊँगा!' एक दिन नन्हे खरगोश की बारी आई। चतुर खरगोश बहुत-बहुत धीरे चला और देर से पहुँचा। 'देर क्यों हुई?' भूखा शेर ग़ुर्राया। 'माफ़ी,' खरगोश बोला। 'एक और बड़े शेर ने रोका, वह कहता है राजा वही है!' 'दूसरा शेर? दिखाओ!' खरगोश उसे गहरे कुएँ तक ले गया और अंदर इशारा किया। शेर ने नीचे देखा — एक और शेर घूर रहा था, उसकी अपनी परछाई! 'तेरी हिम्मत!' वह दहाड़ा और लड़ने को कूद पड़ा। छपाक! और घमंडी शेर का अंत हो गया। थोड़ी चतुराई बड़ी ताक़त को हरा देती है।

'വേറെ സിംഹമോ? കാണിക്കൂ!' മുയൽ അവനെ ആഴമുള്ള കിണറ്റിനരികെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി അകത്തേക്ക് ചൂണ്ടി. സിംഹം താഴേക്ക് നോക്കി — മറ്റൊരു സിംഹം തുറിച്ചുനോക്കുന്നു, അവന്റെ പ്രതിബിംബം! 'ധിക്കാരം!' അവൻ ഗർജിച്ച് പോരാടാൻ ചാടി. പ്ലോപ്പ്! അഹങ്കാരിയുടെ അന്ത്യമായി. ചെറിയ ബുദ്ധി വലിയ ശക്തിയെ തോൽപ്പിക്കും.
