    For grown-ups

    A first-steps learning app for ages 3 to 6

ABC Fun! has ten things to learn and nine little games, in English, हिंदी (Hindi) or മലയാളം (Malayalam). Everything on the screen is read aloud — every letter, word, number, colour, shape and story — so a child who cannot read yet can still play on their own. The buttons and hints switch to the chosen language too. There is no sign-up, there are no ads, and nothing has a timer.

    What your child can do

    📚 Learn

    • Letters — each letter with a picture and its word, read aloud, then traced with a finger. English has the 26 letters A–Z, Hindi the 49 letters of the varnamala (13 vowels and 36 consonants, including क्ष, त्र and ज्ञ) and Malayalam 51 letters (15 vowels and 36 consonants).
    • Small Words — 15 picture words at a time from 133, in sets: animals, fruits, vegetables, body, vehicles, nature, or a mix of everything.
    • Numbers — 1 to 20: the numeral, its word and that many pictures to count.
    • Colours & Shapes — 10 colours, then 10 shapes from circle to hexagon, drawn as outlines so the shape is what stands out.
    • Story Time — 30 short stories (under a minute each), from the Thirsty Crow to the Sleepy Cat, read aloud.
    • Coloring — 12 pictures from the ManyHand coloring library. Pick a colour, tap a part, and it fills right up to the lines.
    • Days & Months — the 7 days and the 12 months, in order.
    • Clock — o'clock times from 1 to 12 on a clock face.
    • Where? — in, on, under, next to and behind, shown with a ball and a box.
    • Feelings — happy, sad, angry, scared, sleepy, surprised, excited and shy.

    🎮 Games

    • Match the Letters — tap a letter, then the picture whose word starts with it.
    • Tap the Picture — hear a word and tap its picture; ten rounds.
    • Memory Match — turn over cards to find six pairs.
    • Dot to Dot — tap the numbers in order to draw a shape, a house, a fish or a tree. Each number is said aloud.
    • Build the Word — pick the missing letter of a short English word (English only).
    • Shadow Match — which picture makes this shadow?
    • Sorting — put each picture in the right basket, such as animals or fruits.
    • Number Order — tap four or five numbers from smallest to biggest.
    • How Many? — count up to ten things and tap the number.

Each finished round earns a sticker, and a wrong tap just wiggles — there is no losing.

    How letter tracing is checked

In English, every capital letter shows numbered green dots and arrows for each stroke, with a moving dot that shows which way to go. The app checks that every stroke has been drawn and covered, and that most of the drawing stays on the letter — so a wobbly trace counts, but a scribble across the box does not. In Hindi and Malayalam the letter is shown as a dotted outline, and it counts once nearly all of its shape has been traced over, again with most of the drawing on the letter.

The cheer comes up by itself as soon as the letter is good enough; ✓ Done checks it straight away and offers another try if it is not there yet. Letters traced well turn green in For grown-ups, where you can tap any letter to practise it again.

Getting the most out of it

Works offline, installs like an app

Use your browser's Install or Add to Home Screen option (or the button in For grown-ups) and ABC Fun! opens full screen like an app. In For grown-ups, Save voices keeps every voice clip for your language on the device — about 10 MB — so it keeps talking with no internet. The twelve coloring pictures are kept too once installed.

    Privacy

There are no accounts, no chat, no ads and no links inside the activities. Nothing your child draws or says is recorded or sent anywhere. Stickers and progress are kept only in this browser on this device; Reset progress in For grown-ups clears them. Page visits are counted anonymously, without cookies. See the privacy policy.

The voices are made with a text-to-speech voice for Indian English, Hindi and Malayalam; each phrase was recorded once and is reused wherever it appears. If you spot a word or a pronunciation that is wrong, please tell us.

    Frequently asked questions
    Is ABC Fun! free?

Yes. Every activity is free, with no sign-up, no ads and nothing to buy.

    What age is it for?

Ages 3 to 6 — nursery, LKG, UKG and kindergarten. The games are short and forgiving, and nothing has a timer.

Does my child need to be able to read?

No. Every letter, word, number, colour, shape and story is read aloud, and the games are played by listening and tapping pictures.

    Which languages does it teach?

English, Hindi and Malayalam. Choose a language at the start; the letters, words, stories, voice and the app's own buttons all switch to it.

    Does it work offline?

Yes. Install it as an app from your browser, then in For grown-ups press Save voices to keep every voice clip for your language on the device (about 10 MB). After that it works with no internet.

Is it safe for young children?

There are no ads, no chat, no accounts and no links inside the activities, and nothing is recorded or uploaded. Stickers and progress are kept only in your browser.

Can I see what my child has learnt?

Yes. For grown-ups, on the menu, shows the stickers earned, every letter your child has traced well (tap one to practise it) and how many times each activity was finished.
