🐔 The Little Red Hen

One morning the Little Red Hen found some grains of wheat. 'Who will help me plant these?' she clucked. 'Not I,' said the lazy duck. 'Not I,' said the sleepy cat and the dozing pig. 'Then I will do it myself,' said the hen. She planted the seeds, watered them, cut the golden wheat, and baked warm, soft bread. Mmm, what a wonderful smell! 'Who will help me eat it?' she asked. 'I will! I will!' they all jumped up. 'Oh no,' smiled the hen, 'you would not help me work, so I will share it with my little chicks.' And the chicks ate every last crumb.
