RRB Railway Signature Resizer

Railway forms take your photo live, so the signature is the file to prepare. Their 30 KB minimum is high for a small signature, and this tool can reach it.

🔒 Your pictures stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.

What the 2026 RRB notices ask for

UploadThis tool makesFile sizeRule
Signature420 × 180 px30–49 KBBlack ink on white paper, running handwriting. At least 140 × 60 pixels and 100 DPI.

Source: RRB CEN 02/2026 and CEN 04/2026, read on 31 October 2026. Each railway notice is separate, so compare yours. CEN 06/2024 for NTPC used 30–70 KB, so older guides may show that figure.

The signature must be in black ink on white paper, in running handwriting, not block or capital letters. Thumb impressions, and blank or partial signatures, are listed as reasons for rejection.

Why 30 KB is hard to reach

Most exams set a low limit for signatures because a signature is mostly white paper, which takes very little space. A 140 × 60 pixel signature is well under 30 KB even at the best quality. So the tool makes it three times larger, 420 × 180 pixels, which keeps the writing sharp. If that is still under 30 KB, it adds empty bytes until it passes. The picture does not change.

The live photo

You do not upload a photo. The form takes one through your webcam or your phone’s front camera. A picture of a printed or stored photo is not allowed and can lead to rejection. CEN 01/2026 also asks for non-white clothing, preferably dark colours, so wear those on the day you apply.

Frequently asked questions
What is the RRB signature size?

In CEN 02/2026 and CEN 04/2026, a JPG or JPEG of 30 to 49 KB, at least 140 × 60 pixels, scanned at 100 DPI or more.

Do I need to upload a photo for RRB?

Not in the 2026 notices. The form captures a live photo by webcam or phone.

Can I use the same signature for NTPC and Group D?

Only if both notices give the same limits. Each RRB notice is its own document, so compare the numbers first.
