Increase Image Size in KB

Form says your file is too small? Set the size you need, and get a JPG that reaches it, with the picture unchanged.

Why a form says your file is too small

Many forms set a minimum as well as a maximum, such as 10 KB or 20 KB. A clean signature on white paper can fall below it even when it looks fine, because plain white takes almost no space.

What the tool does

First it saves the picture at a high quality, which often reaches the size on its own. If the file is still too small, it adds empty bytes inside the file, in a part that viewers skip. The pixels do not change at all, and the file opens normally everywhere.

What it cannot do

A bigger file is not a sharper picture. If your picture is blurred or very small in pixels, adding bytes will not bring detail back. Start from a better photo if you can. For a form that also sets pixels, choose your exam or My own size, as the same step is used there.

Use it with care

This is for meeting a minimum you already understand. Keep to the range your notice gives, and do not go beyond the maximum.

Frequently asked questions
How do I increase a photo to 20 KB?

Type 20 in the box, choose your picture and download the result.

Does increasing the KB improve the quality?

Not on its own. High quality saving keeps what is there, but it cannot add detail that the picture never had.

Will the form accept a file with added bytes?

The file is a normal JPG, and it reports the right size and pixels. A form that only checks those will treat it like any other.
