Compress Image to 100 KB

Bring a large phone photo down to under 100 KB without uploading it anywhere.

🔒 Your pictures stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.

What fits in 100 KB

100 KB is a comfortable size. As a rough guide, a portrait keeps its sharpness at about 650 × 870 pixels, and that is enough for most forms, profiles and email. A 12-megapixel phone photo is often 3 MB or more, so this is around one thirtieth of the size.

Forms with a 100 KB limit

A CTET photo can be up to 100 KB. The signature limit for JEE Main and NEET is 100 KB, and the handwritten declaration for IBPS and SBI is 50–100 KB. For those, choose the exam at the top so the pixels are right too.

When to use another tool

If your file is a certificate or marks sheet that must be a PDF, this tool is the wrong one, as it only makes JPG files. Use compress PDF. To compress many photos at once for a website or an album, use the image compressor, which handles a batch and also makes WebP.

Frequently asked questions
How do I compress a JPG to 100 KB?

Choose the file on this page and download the result. The size in the box can be changed if you need something else.

Can it compress a screenshot?

Yes. PNG screenshots go in and come out as JPG. Text in a screenshot may blur slightly, so check that it can still be read.

Is there a limit on how many times I can use it?

No. It runs on your device, so there is no daily limit and no account.
