The bulletin gives the sizes in centimetres, and the tool works in pixels. At 200 DPI, 3.5 × 4.5 cm is 276 × 354 pixels and 3.5 × 1.5 cm is 276 × 118 pixels. The tool also writes 200 DPI into the file, so it prints at the right size.

Centimetres on a screen

A picture on a screen has no size in centimetres until it has a DPI. If a tool only gives you pixels, a form or printer cannot tell how large it should be. That is why the DPI is saved in the file along with the pixels.

The 3 KB minimum

A CTET signature can be as small as 3 KB, so most signatures fit easily at this size. Scans straight from a phone are often several megabytes, and the tool brings them down in one step.
