Add Name and Date to Your Photo

Some forms want your name and the photo date printed on the photo. Add them in a clean white strip, then get the right size.

Which forms need it

TNPSC and Kerala PSC do. TNPSC asks for the name and date in the bottom 1.5 cm of a 4.5 cm high photo. Kerala PSC asks for them to be printed legibly at the bottom portion.

Many other forms do not. The JEE Main 2027, NEET UG 2026, UGC NET December 2026 and CTET September 2026 bulletins do not ask for a name and date on the photo, even though some websites say so. Adding them where they are not needed uses up space that your face should fill, so follow your own notice.

How to add them

  1. Choose your photo and place your face inside the oval. The picture moves up to leave room for the strip.
  2. Type your name as it is on your documents.
  3. Pick the date the photo was taken, and choose how it is written.
  4. Check that both lines can be read in the result. Then download.

Which date to use

Use the date the photo was really taken. Forms use it to check that the photo is recent. TNPSC needs a date on or after the date of the notification, and Kerala PSC needs a photo taken within six months for a new profile.

Set the size for your form

This page starts at 3.5 × 4.5 cm, 20–50 KB. If you are applying to TNPSC or Kerala PSC, pick it from the list, and the tool uses that form’s own numbers. For anything else, choose My own size.
