Source: Information Bulletin, NEET (UG) 2026, read on 31 October 2026. When the 2027 bulletin comes out, compare it with this table.
The photo may be in colour or black and white. 80% of the image should be your face, without a mask, with the ears visible, against a white background. For 2026 it had to be taken on or after 01 January 2026, so expect a new date each year.
The bulletin disagrees with itself on fingers and thumbs
One part of the 2026 bulletin says the left and right hand fingers and thumb impressions should be 10 kb to 200 kb. Another part says 50 kb to 300 kb. This tool aims for 50–200 KB, which passes both.
Keep the photo real
The bulletin warns that photographs that look “de-shaped” or seem hand-made or computer made will be rejected, and treats that as unfair means. Use this tool to crop and resize a true photo of yourself. If you can stand in front of a real white wall, do that and leave the white wall option off.
Keep prints ready
The bulletin advises keeping 6 to 8 passport size and 4 to 6 postcard size (4 × 6 inch) colour prints with a white background. You will need the same photo later, so save the original.
What is the NEET photo size?
Between 10 kb and 200 kb in JPG or JPEG format, in the NEET (UG) 2026 bulletin. It gives no pixel size.
What is the NEET signature size?
Between 10 kb and 100 kb in JPG or JPEG format, in the 2026 bulletin. Older guides say 4–30 KB, which does not match it.
Can the NEET photo be black and white?
Yes. The 2026 bulletin says colour or black and white.
Is there a postcard size photo upload in NEET?
The 2026 bulletin’s upload list does not include a postcard size photo. It only tells you to keep postcard prints ready. Check the 2027 bulletin when it is published.
