GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B from your books
The figures for both monthly returns, read straight from your sales, purchases and returns — section by section, exportable to spreadsheets, ready to compare with the GST portal before you file.
This browser is not keeping what you do here (a private window, or its storage is full). Everything entered now will be gone when the page is closed.
GSTR-1
Set the period to the month or quarter (Alt+F2), open GST Reports (G) and choose GSTR-1. Each section shows a count, the taxable value and the tax; Enter opens it invoice by invoice, and Alt+E saves it as a spreadsheet.
- B2B invoices — sales to customers with a GSTIN, one line per rate per invoice.
- B2C Large — sales to unregistered buyers in another state above ₹1,00,000 an invoice.
- B2C Small — every other sale to unregistered buyers, added up by place of supply and rate (sales returns from them are taken off here).
- Credit notes (registered) — sales returns from customers with a GSTIN, with the invoice they are against.
- HSN summary, split into B2B and B2C as the return now asks — quantity in the return's unit codes, value and tax per HSN code and rate.
- Nil rated supplies and documents issued — the first and last invoice number, how many, how many cancelled.
GSTR-3B
3.1 outward taxable supplies and nil-rated supplies; 3.2 supplies to unregistered persons in other states, by state; 4 the input tax credit from purchases, less purchase returns; 5 inward supplies at 0%; and 6.1 the tax to pay. The credit is set off in the order the rules give — integrated-tax credit first, against IGST and then CGST and SGST; then CGST credit against CGST and IGST; SGST credit against SGST and IGST; central and state credit never paying each other's tax — and what is left is the tax to pay in cash, or the credit to carry forward.
Nothing is filed by this app. Interest, late fee, reverse charge, cess, credit that must be reversed, and credit you have not yet seen in GSTR-2B are not worked out. Always compare with the portal's own auto-drafted figures before filing.
Can I upload the spreadsheet to the GST portal?
The spreadsheets are for checking and copying, with the usual column headings; they are not the portal's JSON file. Type or paste the figures into the portal or the GST offline tool.
Why is a sale missing from B2B?
A sale lands in B2B only when the customer's ledger has a GSTIN. Alter the customer, add the GSTIN, and the invoice moves from B2C to B2B.
Does it show input tax credit from GSTR-2B?
No — it shows the credit on the purchases entered in your books. Compare it with GSTR-2B on the portal; claim only what is there.
How are purchase returns treated?
A debit note (purchase return) lowers the input tax credit in table 4. A credit note (sales return) lowers the outward supplies.
What about nil-rated and exempt items?
Lines at a GST rate of 0% are shown as nil rated. The app does not tell nil-rated, exempt and non-GST supplies apart.
