The moment it is revealed

One card each

The point of a bridesmaid proposal is that each friend feels asked, not notified. Make a card for each of them rather than sending one link to the group: change the name in the heading and the words of the note, and send the link. Nothing has to be saved or set up again between cards — the editor keeps the design while you change the words.

Making the card

  1. Start from “Bridesmaid”: a rose-gold heart on a pink card with flowers, script lettering, and petals falling when it is revealed.
  2. Put her name in the heading printed above the heart — “Anjali, I have a question” — so the card is plainly hers before she scratches it.
  3. Choose the question from the ideas under the message box, or write your own. “Will you be my maid of honour?” fits on the card.
  4. Add your name, and the wedding date in the small line under the message.

Tell her why, and what it involves

The longer note opens after she has scratched. Use it for the two things a card cannot hold: why you are asking her, and what you are asking for — the date, the city, whether there is a dress to buy or a mehndi to plan. Up to 600 characters. Being clear here makes it easier for her to say yes, and easier to say no if she cannot.

The same card for the other roles

Change one line and the card asks a best man, a groomsman, a flower girl or a godparent. For the groom's side, switch the design to Classic or Stars, the colour to navy or green and the celebration to confetti; the heart can become a window or a circle under “Scratch area”.

Asking everyone on the same evening

If the bridesmaids know each other, they will compare notes within minutes. Either send all the links in one sitting, or lock every card to the same time — the links can go out during the day and all of them open at eight that evening.

Something to keep

After scratching, each of them can save her card as a picture or as a short video of the reveal. A button under the card opens WhatsApp with a reply to you already started.

Questions
Can I make a different card for each bridesmaid?

Yes. Change the heading and the note and send the link; each link is its own card, and there is no limit.

Can I use it for a best man or groomsman?

Yes. Type the question you want and change the design and colour — nothing about the card is fixed to bridesmaids.

Can I include the wedding date?

Put it in the small line under the message, or in the longer note with the other details.

Do they need an app?

No. The card opens in the browser from the link, on any phone or computer.
