Countdown Poster
Make a shareable "days until" image for any event.
How to make a countdown poster
- Type the event name — “Asha & Rohan's Wedding”, “Board Exams”, “Goa Trip”.
- Pick the event date. The poster shows the number of days from today to that date in large figures, and reads “TODAY” on the day itself.
- Add an optional bottom label, such as a venue, a hashtag or “Save the date”.
- Choose a colour and a size, then tap Download poster.
Which size to choose
| Size | Pixels | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Square 1:1 | 1080 × 1080 | WhatsApp groups, Instagram and Facebook posts, a profile picture |
| Story 9:16 | 1080 × 1920 | WhatsApp Status, Instagram and Facebook Stories, a phone wallpaper |
A square image is shown in full almost everywhere. A story image fills a phone screen but is cropped when used as an ordinary post, so pick it only when it is going into a story or status.
The number changes every day
The poster is a picture, so it shows the count for the day you made it. For a daily countdown, come back each morning and download a fresh one — the name, date and colour take seconds to enter again. Many people post only the milestones instead: 100 days, 50, 30, 10, one week, and the last three days.
Ideas for what to count down to
- Weddings and engagements — a save-the-date for guests, then weekly reminders in the family group.
- Exams — a daily poster on the study-group chat or as a phone wallpaper keeps the date in view.
- Trips and holidays — share with the people going with you.
- Birthdays, anniversaries and festivals.
- Launches and deadlines — a product release, a sale opening, a registration closing date.
- Retirement or a last working day.
Making it read well
Keep the event name short enough to read at a glance; three or four words is ideal. Choose a colour that suits the occasion, and use the bottom label for the one extra fact people need, usually the place or the time. The image is drawn in your browser and nothing is uploaded, so it is safe to use for private family events.
For a surprise instead of a date, try the Scratch & Reveal Card. For entry passes to the event itself, use the Ticket Maker.
Create a countdown "days to go" poster for a wedding, birthday, exam, trip or product launch, and share it on WhatsApp, Instagram or a group chat. Choose your event name, date, colour and size, then download the image — made entirely in your browser.
Can I use it for a wedding countdown?
