Muslim Marriage Biodata Maker
With sect and mahallu or jamaat set out ready. Fill it in, add a photo if you wish, and download the PDF.
This browser is not keeping what you type (a private window, or its storage is full). Download the PDF before you close the page.
The headings, the labels and the date of birth are printed in the paper's language. What you type is printed as you typed it.
Drag the picture to move it inside the box.
The photo stays on this device. It is printed on the PDF and the picture; a link does not carry it.
Only the lines you fill in are printed. The star and rasi boxes suggest spellings; the tool does not read or match horoscopes.

{link} becomes the link to the biodata.
The PDF and the picture carry the photo. The link carries only the words: the whole biodata is inside it, nothing is stored on a server, and anyone who is given the link can read it.
Biodatas are kept in this browser on this device only. Clearing the browser's data removes them, so keep the PDF of each one you send.
The lines a Muslim biodata carries
This page opens an empty biodata with Lines for set to Muslim. Under Religion and community it sets out three lines:
| Line | What families usually write |
|---|---|
| Religion | Muslim, or Islam |
| Sect | The tradition the family follows, in the family's own words |
| Mahallu / Jamaat | The mahallu or jamaat the family belongs to, with the place |
No horoscope lines are set out, and the heading of the part is printed as “Religion and community”. The personal, education, family and contact lines are the same as on every biodata: name, date of birth, height, marital status, mother tongue, education, occupation, the parents and their occupations, brothers and sisters, a contact person, phone and address.
A line left empty is not printed, so a family that prefers not to name a sect simply leaves it. For anything not in the list — a madrasa education, whether the person has performed Hajj or Umrah, a family's native place — tap + A line of your own and type your own label.
The line at the top
Under How it looks, three lines are offered for the top of the paper: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم in Arabic, “Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem”, and the same in Malayalam script. Tap one to place it above the title, or type any other line of up to 80 characters. Arabic and Urdu are drawn right to left, as they should be, in the letters your own phone or computer has.
With or without a photo
The photo is optional, and the paper is laid out properly either way: without one, the lines simply run the full width of the page. Some families send a biodata without a photo first and share pictures later, or send one copy with the photo to relatives and another without it to a wider group. To do that, tap Copy under Your biodatas and remove the photo from the copy.
The same goes for the phone number and address: Leave the contact details off this copy makes a paper without them, for a first round or for a marriage bureau.
Paper language
The title, headings and labels can be printed in English, Malayalam or Hindi. The tool does not print Urdu labels, but anything you type in Urdu or Arabic is printed as typed. On a Hindi paper the label for Mahallu / Jamaat is “जमात”, and on a Malayalam paper it is “മഹല്ല്”.
Photo, design and sending
Add a photo under Photo, drag it inside the box until the face sits well, and choose one of the four designs and seven colours under How it looks. The paper on the page is the finished biodata: Download PDF saves it as one A4 page, and Share the PDF hands it to WhatsApp or any other app on a phone. How the paper fits itself to one page, what a link carries and how to leave the contact details off a copy are explained in the main guide.
What is the format of a Muslim marriage biodata?
Usually a line such as “Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem” at the top, then the title; personal details; religion, sect and mahallu or jamaat; education and occupation; the parents, brothers and sisters; and a contact person with a phone number and address.
Can I make the biodata without a photo?
Yes. The photo is optional. Without one, the lines use the full width of the page.
Can I write Bismillah in Arabic at the top?
Yes. Tap the Arabic line offered under How it looks, or type your own. It is drawn right to left.
Is there an Urdu version of the paper?
The headings and labels are printed in English, Malayalam or Hindi only. Anything you type in Urdu is printed as you typed it, and a line of your own can have an Urdu label.
Do I have to state a sect?
No. Only the lines you fill in are printed. Leave the line empty or remove it with the cross.
