Shopify Reel Maker

Paste a Shopify product link — or add your own photos — pick a look and a track, and download an Instagram Reel.

Step 1 · Product link
Open the product in your store and copy its address — it has /products/ in it. Your own domain and .myshopify.com both work.
No Shopify link? Use your own photosAny shop — Instagram, WhatsApp, a market stall or your own website.

How to make a product reel

  1. Bring in the product. Paste a Shopify product link (it has /products/ in it) and tap Load product. The photos, name, price and any “compare at” price come in by themselves. For any other shop, open Use your own photos, choose up to 20 photos and type the name, shop name and price.
  2. Pick a layout and a colour. The preview plays the reel as it will look; every layout works with every colour.
  3. Pick a length. Auto gives each photo about two seconds. A fixed length (10, 15, 20 or 30 seconds) slows or speeds the photos to fit.
  4. Pick a track — tap ▶ to listen first — or choose No music.
  5. Make it yours (optional). Under Words & details, change any words, hide what you don't need and set the end card; under Colour, pick My colours.
  6. Tap Generate Reel, then Download the video and Copy caption for the post.

The six layouts

LayoutWhat it looks likeSuits
ClassicShop name at the top, the photo in a rounded card, name and price belowAlmost anything; a safe first choice
Full BleedThe photo fills the whole screen, text sits on a soft shade at the bottomModel shots, lifestyle photos, clothing
SplitPhoto on the top half, a solid panel with the details underneathLong product names, clear prices
PostcardA framed, centred picture with a double borderGifts, handmade and festive items
BannerFull-screen photo with a floating card holding the detailsBold photos with a plain background
MinimalPlenty of empty space, small centred typeJewellery, beauty, premium products

Every reel ends with a three-second closing card: the shop name, “Shop the link in bio” and the price. A sale price is shown next to the struck-out original, with a “Save” amount, whenever the original is higher.

What it takes from a Shopify product

In the reelComes from
PhotosThe product's media, in the same order, up to 20
Product nameThe product title, cut at the first “|” or “·” so keyword-stuffed titles stay short
PriceThe first variant's price, or the variant in the link (?variant=)
Struck-out price, “Save” and “% OFF”The compare-at price, when it is higher than the price
Shop nameYour store's name, as set in Shopify
Category labelThe product type, title and tags: Jewellery, Apparel, Footwear, Bags, Home Decor or Beauty, otherwise “New In”
CurrencyYour store's main currency

So the reel is only as good as the product listing: set a compare-at price to show a sale, and put your best photo first in the product's media. Anything that comes in wrong can be changed under Edit the words before you make the video.

Making it yours

Your layout, colours, button line, contact line, end card and show/hide choices are remembered in this browser, so the next product's reel starts the same way; Reset puts everything back. Use the pause button and slider under the preview to look at any moment, and a small copy of the preview stays in the corner while you edit further down the page.

Which links work

The page reads the product straight from the shop, from your own browser, with no server and no Shopify app in between. Every live Shopify store allows this, so any product link works: on your own domain or on .myshopify.com, opened through a collection (/collections/…/products/…), or with a variant chosen. Paste the address of the product as a shopper sees it — a link to your Shopify admin (admin.shopify.com) will not work. Shopify stores still behind a password page cannot be read, and neither can Amazon, Meesho, Flipkart, Etsy, WooCommerce and most home-made shops. For those, save the product photos and use the own-photos option; the reel comes out the same. More on Shopify product videos — putting the video on the product page and where to post it — is in the Shopify product video guide.

Getting good photos into the reel

Posting it

The video is 1080 × 1920 pixels, the 9:16 size used by Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts and WhatsApp Status. Chrome, Edge and recent Safari save an MP4; older browsers save a WebM file, which Instagram also accepts. The caption has the product name, shop and price, the product link, a “link in bio” line and a few hashtags — edit it before posting. Credit the music's artist (shown next to each track) in the caption, or add a trending sound inside the Instagram app instead. To shrink very large photos before adding them, use the Image Compressor; for a code customers can scan to open your shop, use the QR Code Generator.

How do I turn a Shopify product into an Instagram Reel?

Copy the product page link from your store (it has /products/ in it), paste it here and tap Load product. The photos, title, price and compare-at price come in by themselves. Pick a layout, colour, length and music track, tap Generate Reel, then download the MP4 and copy the caption.

Do I need to install a Shopify app or give access to my store?

No. Nothing is installed in your store and no login, API key or admin access is asked for. The page reads only the public product information any shopper can already see, straight from your browser.

Which Shopify links work?

Any product page of a live Shopify store: on your own domain or on .myshopify.com, opened through a collection (/collections/…/products/…), or a variant link with ?variant=, which uses that variant’s price. Shopify admin links and stores still behind a password page cannot be read — use your own photos for those.

Can I put the video on my Shopify product page?

Yes. It is an ordinary MP4 file: open the product in your Shopify admin and add the file in the Media section. How the video plays in the gallery depends on your theme.

Does it work for shops that are not on Shopify?

Yes. Open “No Shopify link? Use your own photos”, add up to 20 photos, type the name, shop name and price, and the reel is made the same way.

Can I change the words and colours on the reel?

Yes. Under Words & details you can change the shop name, product name, price, old price and category, the button line (for example Order on WhatsApp) and a website or contact line, edit the end card’s big words, and hide any part you don’t want. Pick My colours to set your own background, text and highlight colours, or tap a palette taken from your product photo. Your choices are remembered on your device.

Can I post it on TikTok, YouTube Shorts or Facebook?

Yes. The video is 1080×1920 (vertical 9:16), the size used by Instagram Reels and Stories, Facebook Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and WhatsApp Status.

Is the music free to use?

The tracks are offered by their makers as free to use; credit the artist shown next to each one. Or pick “No music” and add a trending sound inside Instagram or TikTok.

Is it free?

Yes — no sign-up, no watermark and no limit, and the video is made on your own device.
