Salon Appointment Book
Chairs side by side, walk-ins to whoever is free first, and tomorrow's reminders on WhatsApp — for a salon or barber shop.
What kind of place is this?
Pick the nearest one. It fills in the usual hours and services, and you can change every one of them.
What is new
Removes everything this app keeps on this device: the settings, every booking and every person. Export first if you may want it back.
A salon's day in one screen
- Choose Salon or barber. It starts with haircut (30 min), beard trim (15), shave (20), kids haircut (20), hair colour (60), head massage (20), facial (45) and hair spa (45). Change the lengths to how long they take in your salon, and add prices if you want the amount on each booking.
- Say how many chairs or stylists there are. Each gets a column, named the way you call them — “Anu”, “Ravi”, or “Chair 2”.
- When a regular calls, type the first letters of their name: the book finds them and picks what they had last time. Tap a free time and save; WhatsApp opens with the confirmation.
Tap two services and the lengths add up: a haircut and a beard trim is a 45-minute booking, and only times with 45 free minutes are offered.
Walk-ins, worked out
Most salons run on walk-ins as much as bookings. Tap Walk-in and the customer goes to whoever is free first — straight away if a chair is empty, otherwise to the chair that finishes first. Say Anu has a haircut and beard from 10:00 to 10:45, and Ravi has two haircuts, 10:00–10:30 and 10:30–11:00. A walk-in for a 30-minute haircut at 10:20 goes to Anu at 10:45 — a wait of 25 minutes — and the sheet shows it before you save, so you can tell the customer how long. Pick Ravi instead and it moves to 11:00.
| Chair | Booked | Free from |
|---|---|---|
| Anu | 10:00 – 10:45 haircut and beard | 10:45 |
| Ravi | 10:00 – 10:30 haircut, 10:30 – 11:00 haircut | 11:00 |
Switch the Day to Grid on a tablet at the counter: each chair is a column, so a gap shows at a glance. Walk-ins are marked as such, so at the end of the month the Calendar shows how many came in off the street.
Busy Saturdays and slow Tuesdays
Set each day's hours on its own — a long Saturday, a short Sunday, closed on the day your area takes off. Close a festival day ahead under More → Holidays. The Calendar shades each day by how full it is, and the month's figures show the busiest day of the week, what was booked most and each stylist's share — enough to see when an extra hand is worth it.
Regulars and reminders
Every customer you book is kept with their visits, so “Book again” after a haircut, or a tap on their name under Customers, starts the next booking with their usual service. The evening before, send tomorrow's reminders from the bar on the Day — one tap each opens WhatsApp with the reminder typed in. Fewer forgotten bookings means fewer empty chairs.
The app never sends anything itself; WhatsApp opens and you press send. It does not take payments or keep the salon's accounts — for the till, see the shop billing counter.
Questions
Can it handle walk-ins and bookings together?
Yes. Walk-in gives the customer to whoever is free now, or to the chair that finishes first, and shows the wait before you save. Bookings and walk-ins share the same chairs, so neither is double-booked by accident.
How do I set up two or three chairs?
Under More → Who takes bookings, add each stylist or chair. Each gets a column on the grid and a chip on the Day; a booking can be with one of them or with whoever is free.
A haircut takes 20 minutes in my shop, not 30. Can I change it?
Yes. Under More → Services, open Haircut and set its length. Bookings already made keep their own length; new ones use the new one.
Can I see how much each stylist did?
The Calendar's month figures show how many bookings each person had. If you type prices on the services, the amount for each finished booking is added up too — it is a note of what was charged, not an account.
Does it work on the salon's old Android phone?
It needs a recent browser such as Chrome. Install it from the page and it opens like an app, with no internet needed except for WhatsApp.
Can customers see free slots and book themselves?
No. There is no server; the book is on your device only. Customers message or call you and you book them.
