Can it prove an image is copyright-free?
No. It reads the rights fields stored in the file, but those can be removed or faked. Treat a result as a signal, not proof, and check the licence at the source.
Why does my photo show no metadata?
Many sites (social networks, messaging apps) strip metadata on upload to save space and protect privacy, so a downloaded copy often has little or none left.
Is anything uploaded?
