Handwriting
Write one short sheet, photograph it, and everything you type comes out in your real hand. No font file, no sign-up.
-
Print at 100%, then write each character in its box with a dark pen. Sheet 1 is all you need; sheet 2 is optional and has you write the common letters again, so a repeated letter isn't the same shape every time.
-
Photograph each sheet on its own, whole, with all four black corner squares in frame. Add sheet 2 now or later.
The name is what you will pick in the font list of Word and other programs once the font is installed. A font has one shape for each letter, so a page made here looks more hand-written than one typed with the font. Only after a font? Use the Handwriting Font Maker.
Already have a handwriting font file?
If you've already made a .ttf or .otf of your writing — with a font generator such as Calligraphr — upload it here instead. Most people won't need this.
or drag it here · .ttf, .otf, .woff, .woff2 · up to 5 MB
It has to be these sheets — the boxes are what tell the tool which letter is which. A photo of ordinary handwriting can't be used.
Page
Start a question with Q1. and its number goes in the margin; the lines after it are the answer. Start a line with # for an underlined heading.
These go across the top of every page, in your handwriting. Leave them empty to write them in yourself. They are kept on this device only if “Remember my text” is ticked.

Turn typed text into your own handwriting
Type or paste your text, use your own handwriting from a photographed sheet — or pick a ready-made style — and it is drawn onto a real A4, A5 or Letter sheet with small, natural variations in position, size and tilt so it reads as written rather than typed. Long text flows onto as many pages as it needs, at full size. Then download a print-resolution PDF, save each page as a PNG, or print it straight from your browser.
How do I use my real handwriting?
Two ways. The quickest is the photo route: download the handwriting sheet, write each character in its box with a dark pen, photograph the whole sheet and upload it — your letters are cut straight out of the photo and used as your handwriting, with no font file involved. Alternatively, if you already have a handwriting font (.ttf, .otf, .woff or .woff2), upload that instead.
Can I get my handwriting as a font file?
Yes. Once your sheet has been read, press Download as a font (.ttf) under your captured letters. Give it a name first — that is what it will be called in a font list. Open the downloaded file and choose Install, and the font appears under that name in Word, PowerPoint and most other programs on that computer. The font is built in your browser from the same letters, traced into outlines. It holds one shape for each character, so the extra versions from sheet 2 and the small shifts this page adds are not part of it — for a page that should look written by hand, make it here; for typing in your own hand elsewhere, use the font.
Can I photograph any page of my handwriting?
No — it has to be the printed sheet. The boxes are what tell the tool which letter is which, which is why it works without any handwriting recognition. A photo of an ordinary handwritten page has no way of saying where one letter ends and the next begins, so it is not supported.
Tips for a good photo of the sheet
Print at 100% rather than “fit to page”. Use a dark pen — pencil and light ink are hard to separate from the paper. Lay the sheet flat in even light with no hard shadow across it, and make sure all four black corner squares are inside the frame. A phone photo taken slightly at an angle is fine; the sheet is straightened automatically.
Why does it look handwritten and not like a font?
Each character is drawn individually with a small random shift, rotation, size and ink-density change, and the baseline drifts gently across the line. The Naturalness slider controls how much. The variation is generated from your text, so the same document always comes out the same way and the PDF matches the preview exactly.
Every “e” on my page is the same shape. Can I fix that?
Yes — fill in sheet 2. Sheet 1 has one box for each character, so on its own every “e” you type is the one “e” you wrote. Sheet 2 asks for the small letters twice more (the commonest ones three times), plus the digits, the full stop, the comma and a few capitals. Photograph it and upload it the same way; your letters from sheet 1 are kept, and the page then switches between your versions so the same shape never appears twice running. You can add sheet 2 at any time, and photographing either sheet again replaces only that sheet.
Can I lay it out as an assignment, with questions and answers?
Yes. Under Page, set Layout to Assignment. Type each question starting with its number — Q1., Q2) or Question 3: — and the number is written in the left margin, with the question in one pen and the lines after it, the answer, in another. Black for questions and blue for answers is the default; both can be changed. If you write Ans. before your answers, a question can run over several paragraphs until its answer starts. Start a line with # for a centred, underlined heading, or ## for one on the left. Your name, roll number, the date and the page number can be written across the top of every page.
Can I make several pages?
Yes. Text that doesn't fit flows onto page 2, 3 and beyond at the same size, margins and spacing — nothing is shrunk to squeeze it in. The preview shows the first twelve sheets; the PDF, PNG and print output always contain every page.
Is anything uploaded?
No. Your text, your settings, the photo of your sheet and any handwriting font never leave your browser — the pages are drawn on your own device and the PDF is built there too. Settings and any uploaded font are stored only on this device, and “Clear saved data” removes them.
The printed page looks wrong
In your browser's print dialog set margins to None and turn on Background graphics, and make sure the paper size matches the one you chose here. If in doubt, download the PDF and print that instead — it carries the exact page size with it.
